2000 fuel gauge doesn't work when tank is half full

it just doesn't worxk when tank is half full, it bounces around sometimes empty and sometimes full, not that big of deal since its got the fuel used on the dic but is kinda annoying, easy fix or not?

Needs new fuel level sensor.

Which is really only an arm that needs to be replaced. Its a cheap part, pull the pump and replace it.

easy fix.... i just would replace the whole pump/sending unit though.. you already will have the tank down and the fuel pump out anyways. But thats just my flat rate mechanic side talking
 
Access hole in the trunk.

No need to drop the tank. On 97-03 cars atleast, I think 04+ still have the hole, not 100% on that.

Screw buying a pump when it aint broke lol.
 


Yeah just gonna wait til it goes out completely seems like a lot of work just to do the sensor

04+ has a hole too!
