1st gear slip BAD

Ok my 2001 gpgt threw a code for line pressure to the transmission fluctuating alot and my first gear slips like it has a 6000 non lock up stall converter after first gear there is no problem so my question is what could cause the pressure to be fluctuating alot and only cause slipping in first gear?

Which code set? If it was code P1811 there are plenty of threads about it and its causes which is typically a poor working pressure control solenoid but also can be numorous internal worn parts causing long shift times. Try pulling the shifter into manual 1 range and see if it takes off better. You may have a broken or just starting to crack forward apply band and this is causing your slippage on take off and the only way to fix that is with a rebuild. You can view the apply section of the band by dropping the lower pan

sorry took a couple days for me to get back on here but yes in fact slipping it into first does help not much but does. However the slipping is getting worse and i mean WORSE. If i had to save my life by moving 10 feet in 3 seconds im dead lol not safe to drive but its all i got for now it was a rebuilt transmission but i know how that goes. Please get back to me to clerify if it is the forward apply band which would make since cause reverse is fine but i just wunna make sure please let me know.
