1999 Pontiac Grand Prix gt 3.8 Starting Issues

I have owned this car forever it's my junker more or less I love it it runs great knocks when it wants and stops when it wants lol. But it wouldn't start at all the other day so I took it to AutoZone they checked battery starter and alternator . They said all good of course it started :) then it did it again at my Dads house, I sat for an hour till he got home he opens the hood it Freaking Starts!!!! But again it won't start a day later so we go to dolly it to his house. It don't fit on the dolly without ripping off front end so some how my dad hits brake pedal hard and it starts. I went to his house shut it off and it wouldn't start. Until I kicked the **** outta the brake pedal. I did this two different times and it started both times while kicking brake pedal :( can any help or know what this could be???
 


Nuetral saftey switch is the first thing I always check when an automatic trans. car wont crank over, I assume that when you meen it wont start that there is nothing when you turn the key, except lights, yes?
 
And for about 6 months I've had to push the button under steering column to get the key to come out. Not sure if that's related or not
 
I have no clue. Based on you not giving up enough info yet to help you. It's all good... we'll pull the info out of you.

#1 When you say it doesn't start:
Does it crank?
Yes, see #2
No, jack car up and smack starter while turning key

#2 Does it have fuel?
Yes, see #3
No, Likely a fuel pump on it's way out. Unplug Maf sensor and see if that changes anything

#3 Does it have spark?
Yes, Hell ..it should start, check for injector pulse
No, Shotgun a crank sensor on it
 


Did the starter smacking thing no luck. I was hoping it was starter. 200$ and its fixed. But no....
But kicking the brake pedal helps lol I think ill try a neutral safety switch first
 
How about answering the questions? We know most of the problems with these cars and can help you hone in on what it most likely is.

Yes it has fuel it's 1/4 tank

Yes it has spark cause it started and ran after kicking brake pedal.
 


I changed the neutral switch cause I read "Check for voltage to the purple wire on the starter when the key is turned to the crank position. If you have no voltage" as if u have voltage. My bad but then I changed the Ignition switch last night.
