Hello all, many thx for allowing me the use of your knowledge to help my son.
He has a 1999 Grand Prix 3800 No charger, Auto.
A week back his wife drove it home fine but she noticed it seemed to slip when it went into 3. She said the motor spun up like normal but did not move like it should.
The next day went to start it and it would not spin although it has a new battery fully charged and new plugs and wires. I bought a stater for it, but still it won't spin over. I can move the motor over by hand, kinda tough but did not seem that bad. Pulled the plugs and they are normal, not wet with fuel or oil so I'm thinking not hydrolocked.
Could the trans be locked in OD? Otherwise I'm at a loss since oil is fresh also.
