1998 GTP snout removal with coupler replacement - oil seapage

i never wait for rtv to cure or set up. seal fill drive.

Well it should come apart real easily. Wonder if I can salvage new oil or just buy another couple of 4 oz bottles?

id suck out as much as you can if your taking the snout off again, if you cleaned it up good before installing it last time the oil should be fine to reuse.

Sounds good. Did clean it out well. Will see when I extract it. I'll probably have the bottle on hand anyway for next flush. Thank you.

It's not a bad idea to let it cure. Do what the tube directions say.

Update...I disassembled snout, and scraped away previous sealant. Once both surfaces were fully prepped, I applied "Permatex Anaerobic Gasket Maker (1.69 oz)". I let it cure overnight and added new SC oil this morning. Took it for a test drive. Not a drop of oil. Thanks for all of your timely advice and support.

It shouldn't leak no matter what you put on there. Take it apart and do it again.

Just plain old red on mine for years no leaks.

I've put them back together without anything for sealant, and never had a problem.
