Hello to all. I am new to the community but glad to be here. I have a 1998 Pace Car. Ran beautifully when it came off the transporter. Started up fine and ran well, after that. Put it on the highway and went 15 miles away at 65 MPH; parked. Then started right up but ran weird for a minute. Drove same 15 miles back. Started up again with no problems about 20 minutes later drove 1 mile to office and parked it there. Came back 3 days later. Starts and turns off. Fuel pump works, relay is good, fuse is good, no other work done at all. After replaced fuel filter car ran for about 2 minutes and I thought problem was solved, then it stalled. Now, starts right up and stays on for anout 10 seconds and stalls. Has anyone experienced this? I heard maybe a resistor located behind the windshield washer bottle? Could that be true? Please help. Getting frustrated. Wnat to drive this thing. THANKS

sounds like the high speed fuel resistor is going bad.

try this, if it works the resistor is bad, and yes its in the fender by the battery.

yes, bent tab 85 back and the car ran without an issue. So I traced what I feel is like the plug for the actual resistor. Traced the wire down past the fender well and it ended up located just inside the right front (passenger) wheel. Looks like a small black horseshoe looking thing with what appears to be a white connector. I separated it out once and reconnected and still would not start so then I did what you said and the car started and ran. So my question is do you know if what I just described is in fact the resistor that is giving me a problem or do you have another helpful photo. Thanks.
