1997 supercharger questions

so alot of people are saying that for a top swap you dont want to use the blower from a 97 because of a vacum tree...while others say you can just put a plug in it...what exactly is this fix for using the 97 blower and eliminating the vaccum tree..Pics appreciated!
 


Look at this blower... and see one 97 case. If you look the only difference is the 3/8" NPT plug installed where the vacuum tree used to be. All the other talk about them is irrelevant and stupid. Youre welcome.
