1997 GTP doner transmision

I got me a doner car its a 1997 buick riviera SC 3800 The engine is good which i am using. But does anyone if the trani matches up. I am not sure the gearing is the same., and if the performance shift feature of the GTP will work with this tramsmision?:th_nervous:

should be all the same. the hd trannys on the sc engines are the same gearing, perf shift will work.

good luck... remember take a frosty beverage break.. maybe 2 or 3.. takes the edge off before you get super pissed

Yeah going to need one of those beverage about right now, just smashed my thumb in between the idler pulley and the alternator. Immediately after the frozen idler pulley bolt snapped.

No bueno bro. food for thought.. It's always a good idea to pb blaster anything with threads the day before you man handle bolts.. Good news tho. Your man card checks out
