Not sure if this is the right thread for this post but I have a problem.

I have a 97 Grand Prix GT. When I drive at nighttime my headlights are crap. Road is not well lit and quite frankly don't like to drive cuz I cannot see like one should.

I have replaced the assemblies twice with aftermarket due to hazing. I have what they claim is a brighter halogen but still have difficulty seeing.

Looking for suggestions here or if any of know of a thread with a good solutions that I can review.

thanks.

can you give me some examples of "retro fits" I am not sure if thats the entire assembly or specific bulb types, etc... I am a noob.

Retrofits. That's your answer.

This. Search classy retrofit. by the way you may want to consider using a sealant like Meguiar's NXT, ultimate wax or paint protect 365 to protect the lights from hazing. Apply on a regular basis. Meguiar's has a dedicated headlight protectant but they recommend that it is applied every 6-8 weeks.

So the ones from Pro Tuning Labs... do I have to modify the headlight lens assembly or do they basically come plug-n-play?

Just got a new job so I'll be doing lots of early AM driving so I need something to light the roadway very well...

Anyone have suggestions for me from the PTL or advice of what to steer clear of regarding Law Enforcement? I am in South Dakota so I will have to see what the laws are.

Psshh. Who cares about the laws. I'm in SD. Never been hassled over my lights. I have retros that were mentioned up there ^^^ As long as you're not blinding people no one cares.

As a quick and free option, you may try removing the drivers side headlight and cleaning the ground beneath it. My factory headlights were super dim even though the lenses were clear. I inspected this ground and it was covered in paint from the factory (surprised?). After I did this there was a significant improvement in output.
