I've ordered a Fram modulator for my 97 GT after replacing the lines. How does one go about increasing the line pressure?
 


Usually there is a little screw on the modulator if it's adjustable. Follow the directions that come with it. Typically though..clockwise is more pressure.

I am getting a stumbling at about 1500 RPM. Like a lugging in fourth gear
I changed:
Spark plug wire~ autolite
Spark plugs NGK
Front right exhuast manifold (after a little porting) great help
Holey muffler to resonator
vacuum hoses to the trans modulator, intake port and fuel regulator. Underneath the "T" hose coupling was a crack.
Conditions improved a little each time I made changes,but the stumbling came back
I hoping the change from a 15 year modulator to a Fram solves it.
Though it is a daily driver, I plan to change intake and exhaust springs and seals.
Go to 1.7 to 1 roller rockers and new pushrods.
Lucas additive to fresh trans fluld and trans filter.

Any other chime ins are welcome

Make sure your coil pack towers are clean.
That the #4 and #6 plug wires aren't touching the O2 wiring.
Clean the throttle body (by taking it off)
 
Yes , I want to shorten the spark wire leads and put conductive grease on them. I did do the posts and will recheck again.
When I first got this car three weeks ago, I had trouble because of the rust on the ground wires in the ignition circuit which would not allow the car to start. The negative wire ground closest to the battery being the cuprit.

This morning when checking out a leak in the passenger side floor area, I found another rusted ground to body connection.
I'm wondering if this isn't a solution to another problem with the power window. Bad ground:th_lightbulb:.

The throttle body will get a wash, clean, port and polish this weekend along with a throttle mod I learned from another forum.:)

If you port the TB or take out the screen, prepare for bigger issues if you don't tune for the porting and get lucky on the maf reading properly w/o the screen.
 


Nah, The screen is staying This is a daily driver. But ,correct me if I m wrong breathing this vehicle is important. The change of altitude from sea level to 4000 feet level is a factor. This is done weekly.I,m hoping this will even the playing field if I do the mods on the mountain so to speak Perhaps a change ofthe O2 sensor and a system 'reboot' should be in the plan.

I did replace the modulator and the vehicle shifted much better for about one hundred miles then I got the lugging and stumbling again, though not as bad as before. Next stop: throttle body clean
