1995 Pontiac Grand Prix v6 help!

Hey. I am looking at a Pontiac Grand Prix that I found on Craigslist on a dealership. I have looked at it about a month ago and decided to hold off. Well I found a new posting about it and the guy dropped the price. He says that the Itake Manifold Gasket is bad. However, the oil is white indicating water is in it. Which leads me to believe that the Head Gasket is bad. I need help to determine what the problem is. I want to know 100% what it is before I buy it so I know how much money I have to put into it. Any advice helps. Thanks, Lacy
