1995 gp swap in l67

hello every1
im about to go out and buy this 1995 grand prix with the lq1 and i wanna swap it out with my built l67 so i was wondering what all do i need and will my cv joints fit in my hubs or do i gotta make my own cvs ? and i was wondering how long will a stock hd trans last if i ran a 3.25 pulley a xp cam p&p blower etc ? thank u guys and hope i get the ifo that is needed and have a fun new years
 


headers are probably the biggest pain in this swap. you have to cut the firewall to make them fit. and i know some people have had to even tilt their engines forward to do so.
this is a quote from a guy who has done this swap.
"Axles for an 00' Lumina work without an HD diff, and only the passenger side needs altered of you do have an HD diff." not sure on the validity of that statement.
"Axles from a gen 2 with 4t65e don't work, but axles from a gen 1 derivative that has a 4t65e are closest."
 
ok so more less A fire wall B tilt the motor or can i take a hammer to the wall that would be my C lol and i think the pregens look so much better i dont get y they didnt put the 3.8s in em

same here man, believe me if i had the tools and know how i would have swapped mine a longggg time ago.
 
my bud did a swap to his 96 ran 13.8 after said and done with a few mods but see 96 up is ob2 and i nver swapped a ob2 into a ob1 so that is what is fogging my head and im goin try the hammer affect because im not losing my headers lol and can i mount a heat exchanger on this body if its coming from a 98 gtp also yeah i have a million of Qs for this swap just want it to be right and have the meaniest looking gps every made with the meaniest motor made from GM lol
 
youll need an LS engine for that...lmao.
for the electronics, check out a harness from a 98 monte/lumina with a 3.8. they have a pinout thats plug and play, youll need to tune for the trans i think though.
 


ok cuz im spending a 1000$ on this gp and is 1 owner no rust southern car 89k trans slips so i offer 1k lol he said ill take it evern in payments hahahaha but anyways will my stock hd hold my built 38 or am i go haqve to mod it or can i use the northstartrans i mean thats holding a fwd v8 idk maybe that just a dumb noob question but thats y im here
 
i dont know anything about the trans that comes with a northstar, i dont know how it would work. sorry dude!
your stock trans will probably hold it for a bit, just dont WOT everywhere lol and be ready to start savin for a replacement trans.
 


h i just seen em last investment is the trans sh*t i rather have my 5 speed petty back and swap my l67 in to her to bad she was stolen still say she was the best car i ever bought besides my 97 ss and my tsi awd 500 bhp monster lol
