I have a 1992 SE model with the stock radio/cd player with an equalizer. The radio works perfectly, but when I go to put a CD in, it starts making a "clicking" sound before the disc is even halfway inserted. Needless to say, it doesn't play the discs either. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? Anything would be helpful, just hoping the motor isn't shot. Thanks.

the cd players drive may have broken. id look for a used stock radio, or up grade to a new HU.
if your up to it, the radio comes apart, it could be as simple as a belt that broke. you should be able to find parts on line. or from a acdelco shop.
