1992 Grand Prix stalling and smoke issue

My 1992 Grand Prix SE has a very weird stalling problem. It stalls after idling as it is common but the stalling only occurs when i turn to the right... when i keep going forward or turn left the car runs fine. Not to mention that this happens rarely... (when turning right, of course)
Also, the car will sometimes release black smoke and it smells like gasoline. Bad ignition coil perhaps?
Any ideas?

Engine: 3.1L V6
Transmission: Automatic

black smoke out back = rich, as evidenced by the gasoline stink. i would assume weak component in the ignition system or maybe fuel pressure regulator.

my first thought about the stalling on right turns is fuel in the tank sloshing away from the pickup but i have no idea where its situated in the tank in these cars. that plus the FPR being shot might do it.

Alright I'll get back to you once I replace the ignition system and the fuel pressure regulator.
I noticed that the gas tank gets a lot of pressure because plenty of air comes out when I remove the gas cap... maybe its just the FPR but i don't know I'll have to check it.

Do lots of testing first, before throwing money at it. The pressure built up in the gas tank sounds at least partly like an EVAP system problem.
