1992 Grand Prix Fuel Problem

Hello,

I have a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix w/3.1 that ran good when I parked it but that was a couple of years ago where it has sat in storage since. I recently went to start it and have good fresh fuel in the tank and can only start it temporarily with starting fluid. Then, no fuel to sustain running.

I've checked the fuel pump fuse and switched the fuel pump relay with a neighboring relay of the same specification to no avail.

Anyone else had a similar experience as this who may have any pointers??? Anyone happen to know where the fuel filter is in this model?

TIA

Sounds like a dead pump or a broken wire to the pump.

Isn't there some sort of access panel for this pump in the trunk ? I've heard before that it's possible to change these pumps without having to drop a tank. Know much about the fuel filter location? :-)

why do you need a lift?

jack stands and a jack with a board under the tank, un bolt the tank lower it some. un do the lines and plug, after that its easy to change the pump from the tank.
