1989 drivers door will not open

1989 Grand Prix 2 door. Replaced broken driver side outer door handle. Door will not open from outside,but opens from inside. Any suggestions out there

In response to the OP issue, you will have to remove the door panel and reattach the rod that goes from the outside door handle to the rest of the latch assembly as it most likely popped off. Should be a little plastic holder that the rod pops into to keep it in place. Often these break and the rod will continue to pop out of place after the outside door handle is returned to the normal position.
