1977 Chevy single cab long bed C10

Just made a deal to pick up a 1977 Chevy RWD C10. Its a single cab with a long bed. It has 18X8's on it now, and they look small, so the truck needs to be lowered and or needs bigger wheels and tires. I can put 22's on it for 225 a wheel plus whatever the tires cost. I would just put those bigger wheels on the backend and put a lowering kit on the front, or do a front and rear lowering kit, which would be 2" front drop and 4" rear drop.

right now we are going to keep the small block 350 in it, do heads and a cam and see how much traction we can get. we will put vortech heads and an aggressive Lunati Voodoo cam.

does anyone know how much nitrous an older small block 350 can handle reliably?

Don't go big big wheels in the rear, that is going to slow you down big time. Trying to move all the weight is exactly what you don't want. Besides, 22's will be rubber band tires and won't grip.

Stick with the 18's and different rubber or go 20's but make sure they are light weight. Trust me, 95-110 a corner is not going to move out nice unless you got **** loads of power that you don't care about wasting a little on.

Run a wideband in the exhaust and smack it with a 100 shot, it'll be fine.
