1819 Code

Got an P1819 code today. Dealer made it out to be as if it's a $1000 in labor to repair for what looks like a contact switch.

Anyone see this code before? Looks like it could have just been someone trying to start it in gear

Sounds like the neutral safety switch on the trans to me. Check the wiring to it and be sure it's good. If good there, then replace the switch.
