10000k hid's vs 8000k hid's which one can you see more with?



Wouldn't of it been wise to ask this or at least look for the answer prior to already purchasing the 10k's?

I would think that the
4.3k to 6k would be what you you would be looking for but what do I
know. Most of the sights you can get these from offer pics of how the illumination will
look.

Blue headlights in general can get you pulled over. The only reason why most cars that have HID's stock look blue is because of the projector. Get 4300k or 6000k for the best light output.
 


theres nothing wrong with 8k/10k
not enough blue to worry about, very light blue is just fine and has plenty of output
 
technically, no. if the bulbs were correctly manufactured and legit a 10,000K bulb would be way into the super blue/purple area. but because they are made in taiwan in a sweat shop the actual quality control of the bulbs is very, very poor.

please do yourself a favor: retrofit your headlights with a nice projector meant for HID bulbs and get a real HID bulb, not some $70 HID kit that will just blind everyone on the road. but, hey, you'll be able to see, right?

My 10k fogs were blue as ****.

It was like driving under the ocean.

Higher the Kelvan temps, the bluer the light...and the crappier the light output...wattage isn't going to help you there. 35W 4300/5000K's > 55W 10000k.

Blinding other drivers isn't the goal...putting HID's in the factory housing just makes super bright headlights but not a good output pattern. When EBay projectors are modded correctly OR when you retrofit a stock housing...then you're golden.

If you don't want to go with either of those choices...then get some 4300K 35W HID Head/Fogs. Trust me...brighter white is what you want, not uber cool Paul Walker blue.
 
mine are 10000K...

you can for sure see better with the 6000s but idk what people say I think the blue is cool...

I run the 10000s in my head lights for the city and 6500s in my fogs for the back roads...

to each their own
 


the blue is cool to a certain extent. an ice blue is fine, 6000K. that is what i ran. anything above that is retarded.
 
55w hid's... what for? i will NEVER understand anyone who buys 55w. they just glare more and produce more heat. what they said, go with a decent 4300k or 5000k for best light output. IF you want some more blue, get 6000k's.
 
To sum it all up.... if you are running 10K bulbs, you are a lot more likely to get pulled over. Plenty of people run HIDs in their stock housing, which Bio pointed out blinds the **** out of people. To safely and get the best light output is to retrofit your headlight housing. With a projector, the cutoff line with a 4300K is blue, but the light output is white. 4300K is what almost all OEM projectors headlights come from factory. This gives you the best light output, which is what lights are meant for. 6000K is about the limit you should go for visibility issues. 6000K has a light hint of blue to the light output, cool blue like Bio stated. Anything outside of that is no longer sufficient for increased visibility, let alone distracting to other drivers. As for the people who said their 10K isn't blue, I guarantee you they didn't get the right temperature. If you buy cheap ****, the quality is lacked thus the light quality is lacking. You want an HID kit that performs, get a Morimoto HID kit. Have nothing but perfection from this kit, and would buy another. They can be picked up over at the retrofit source for ~$150 dollars.
 


ok im not going near retro fit because im 17 and dont any income. im sticking with my 10k blue and ill probably get the angel eye fogs or maybe just 5000k hid fogs
