• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! 1$ modification !

Hey guys, Ive think about something, maybe some will think its a bad idea maybe some will agree, let me know. I know some of us are running on low budget for doing modification on their GP, like me by exemble, so heres my idea. What if every month, we choose someone on the forum, and each of us who want to participate, give 1$ by paypal. The one receiving the money will have to spend this on any kind of modification on his car, then show it to us, before and after. I think it could be interesting and at the same time..if we are enough to participate, it could be really profitable for the lucky one whos beeing choose.

Just an idea like that, let me know what you guys think.
 


Sounds cool but there are thousands of people on the forums. IMO it wouldnt work because people would want money more then give it up.
 
Well. lets say its dosnt have to be a mod, maybe just something you buy for your car! If it pays your oil, thats good enough ! :P
 
Why not? It's just a dollar anyway, right?:confused:

One thing we could do is make who ever it is that wins the deal has to do a mod we all agree on. It'll help the winner go in the direction we would.

You know like eeeww or dammm , I would'nt have done that kind of stuff!:th_nanana:
 


i would be fun, but like said, not many people would participate
20 bucks tinted my taillights and arrowhead
15 paid for reflective concepts rear inlays
20 bucks pays for a cheap hand job
 
if your gonna do this you also have to make it so that if you want in on the money you have to put in a dollar also that way its fair to everyone

I agree with Bio, no way will it work. Someone gives someone else money, and that person doesn't participate anymore. How do you decide who gets the money? I would rather spend my dollar on a lotto ticket. If I win, shibby, if not, I threw a dollar away, just as I would participating in this.
 
Communism works well in theory too, but in the end say 500 people help out by giving a dollar. Then everyone is gonna want 500 dollars too. So in a perfect world it would all balance out and no one would have been helped out after all.

and this is why it wouldn't work. sounds good in theory, but nothing ever works like that in practice. especially with the internet involved. if it were like a raffle it would work better
 
Dont forget thats its 1 $ a month, so..Hey , I will participate every month just to see how it can help someone doing something with his car, even if I never get choose. 1$ is nothing IMO, what we could do, is when we give 1$ we put our username with it so the one who receive can copy past everyname in here so we know who is participating and who is eligible for the next month. I think it could work :)
 
If as many people donated to this equally what they donate to the site, it could work. But yeah, someone would run with the cash. It'd have to go in a pot, and then the item for modification would have to be bought by someone like Bio and sent to the person.
