1.9 rocker questions

Installed the 1.9's on Saturday. Over the last few days my car seems to be pulling harder especially between 4500-6000 rpm. Why would performance improve over 3 days of driving? Does the pcm adjust itself to this mod? I have an overkill pcm and Will said I would not have to send it back after I did the rockers. Also, would the exhaust change after this because it seems alot deeper now...

Well the PCM has to adjust still for the difference in air movement...so it might have been learning...don't know what else it could be...maybe it will just keep getting faster and faster and FASTER :p LOL

pcm adjusts, relearn fuel trims and what did you have to eat the last few days? Maybe your butt dyno is off! lol jk

i've heard but never verified that our pcm's have Adaptive Learning. Give it a week or so to determine your driving style and adjust for it.

if the pcm was reset due to battery being unpluged, then yea there will be an adjustment period. 3 days is pretty good tho, after 3 days mine is getting back to normal. after a week its faster then what i started with.

my exhuast also sounds a little throater at wot after rockers.

I believe it adjusts itself up to 5% of where the Air/fuel mixture should be.....

so in essence....it learns!

can't wait to get my 1.9 rockers and 105# springs installed!!! Right after installing them i gotta get my pcm tuned instead of keeping the crappy zzp 1.0 pcm.
