1/4 Phenolic spacer

Would i have the hood clearance on a 00' buick GS to run a 1/4" phenolic spacer along with a full intercooler and Gen5?

Also would it be beneficial and or worth it?
 


just use a phenolic intercooler and not worry about a spacer. the only reason I can think of that you would want a phenolic spacer for your intercooler is if you already have a zzp intercooler and doesn't have any phenolic. in which case, you would be better off selling that intercooler and getting a phenolic. I would wonder if the spacer and intercooler would seal properly and hold vacuum and boost pressure.
