08 Suspension- Holy Noises Batman

Hey guys,

08 Grand prix, 45,000 Miles. Slight popping feel in the steering wheel when turning in either direction and clunking noise under bumps. Car currently has a wheel bearing on its way out. What are some possible culprits? Ball joints, strut mount? I'm far from a suspension guy, but have replaced most susp. parts on other cars. Just not really sure whats the most common part on these cars to crap out first.

Steering intermediate shaft. Should be covered under recall/warranty. My father has has the intermediate shaft changed in his '07 Impala three times for the same popping noise.
 
I have the same problem on my 06. Changed the tie rod ends and ball joints, but it's still there. Car has 45k on it. Drove my local tire place nuts asking them to re-inspect my car.

Can I drive with that condition or is it a critical issue that needs to be addressed immediately? Please let me know. Thank you.
