08 Grand Prix Starts then dies

I have a Pontiac Grand Prix 3800 series V6, every once and a while I go to start the car it will start then die, but if I give it some gas it will start right up no problem. What do you think is wrong? I'm thinking it's the Mass Airflow Sensor.

is the check engine light on?

typically this could be a filthy dirty TB, remove it and clean the back side of all the black carbon.

Dirty throttle body for sure.

Their is no check engine light, and thanks for the advice.

That same situation use to happen to me with my 04until I fix the cable connected to the battery. The wires weren't really connected so i did that and now it starts up like any normal car
