08 Grand Prix mystery coolant leak

last night when I turned my car off I smelled a strong antifreeze smell..I opened the hood and there was coolant sprayed all over the battery and in the area but it never overheated or anything.i opened the hood this morning, topped off the recovery tank and started it up to see where the leak is coming from and NOTHING! I left it running for 10 minutes and not a drop of coolant...when I'm driving and it get up to operating temp I can smell coolant when I park but there is no leak anywhere that I can see.. Any ideas anyone?
 


Water pump weep hole, coolant elbow cracked or the front timing cover gasket are the most common leaks to see.

Pressure test the cooling system is what I'd be doing.
 
Is it possible for the thermostat to go bad and not open at proper temp which would causes excess pressure and coolant to blow out of the coolant reservoir? That might be something to look at.
 
and if it's leaking from the water pump weep hole that means my pump is going bad right?

Yes if it is leaking at weep hole you want to replace it. Also do yourself a favor if you haven't replaced the plastic elbows with metal I would do that too.
