06 trans interchangeable

Was told only a 06 trans will work. Can’t find one local to me found few different years though. What makes it that I can’t swap with other years and how can I ID the trans that will work? Numbers on mine are on the metal tag 616LBB W2TWD 24227693
The ones on the trans I found is 615LBB W0CHD
24224561 any help at all is truly appreciated
