06 lights won't stay on

At night when the lights are on, the dim beams drop out. They won't turn back on with the manual switch. After a few minutes they come back on. Anyone have an idea whats happening? Switch, Photocell?
 


Even if the light sensor were bad, the switch should still turn them on. Is it just the headlights that go out, or do the other lights (parking lights, dash lights, etc) go out as well? I'd check the wiring connections at the switch and at the headlights first, then I'd guess either the switch or the BCM.
 
Thanks for the replys. The relay sounds like a good suspect. Also dirty connections sound like a possibility.
 
Sorry for the thread resurrection, but I'm having the same problem now. Lights go out randomly, then come back on randomly. Switch position doesn't matter.
