06 Impala Master Cylinder on 97-03...

I understand using the earlier Impala brake booster on the 97-03 GPs is an upgrade but I read somewhere if I use the 06 Impala master on my 06 GP, it would be an upgrade too but was wondering if the 06 Impala master cylinder would work on the 97-03s too?

The impala brake booster isn't necesarily an upgrade for other GP's, its technically worse. It's smaller to make easier fitment with a turbo downpipe or necesary to fit a 3" turbo downpipe. No idea about the Master Cylinder. Probably the same stopping power or less. No reason that the impala, a lighter car, would have more stopping power. Especially since it has a smaller brake booster...
