06 grand prix gt radio issue

Just purchased an 06 grand prix and the previous owner pulled the radio fuse out. Upon putting it back in i noticed the speakers stay on once the car is shut of. They just sound like static, no music and cannot be controlled by the radio once car is off. Any thoughts or anyone else have this issue? Thanks

Do they pop after a bit to shut off? Mine do when the amp shuts down after a couple minutes with key off. That's assuming you have Monsoon sound.

Yes it is monsoon. They stay on til the battery goes dead. Its just a real faint static sound but it's enough power to drain the battery

I'm sorry this is so vague. I know there's a remote turn-on issue with the factory amp if a different head unit is installed. I'm very blind in this area and would probably start at the12volt.com for a wiring diagram. You mentioned a previous owner. I'd be willing to bet they couldn't get the amp to shut down after putting the stock radio back in, hence no fuse.

I doubt you'll need to do a bunch of wire tracing or anything. Pretty sure it's something easy.
