06 Grand Prix Aux input for Delco 10352018?

Hi I have an 06 grand prix with no CD Changer or XM option, OnStar is installed (but not subscribed to). The radio is a Delco unit part number 10352018

When I first got the car a few years ago I noticed there is a button that said CD/AUX (but no aux port) but wanted the option of having the aux port for MP3 Players, iphone etc. I looked it up a long time ago and was pointed to the GM12-AUXv2..but never placed the order for it. Well I finally decided to (after 3 years) look again for this option and found the GM12-AUXv2 on ebay for $36 shipped..since it was low I placed the order and got it yesterday.

I have it hooked in now, power is running to the adapter...but after trying both the CDCHANGER jumper position and the XM jumper position on the adapter I still havent had any luck with it :(

Am I just out of luck with this stock radio? I was tryign to avoid FM modulators (have had a bunch but travel every so often and it gets annoying trying to track down a truley clear station all the time)

figures... wire wasn't true ground... hooked up via a 12V lighter adapter and it works now lmao....

So there it is for anyone with the same setup, yes it will work.

Now to figure out where to cram all this stuff in the dash!

Yea I used one of those and drilled a hole into the cubby under the climate controll.. made it just big enough for a 3.5mm male connector to fit through and stay through so now I just pull the cord out when needed and tuck it back through the hole when not needed... nice and clean

thats what I hope to do next, I didn;t have the jack for it so I just used an RCA to 1/8" plug cable that is a little too heavy duty and 10' long lol, so lookign forward to putting the jack in place.
