06 GP GT a few dash lights out (buttons)

crumbut

I noticed today with all the cold that 2 of my lights on the heater control module (drivers heated seat and temp down button) are out.
Has anyone replaced lights in these? Are they simple leds or bulbs? Im hoping their not micro leds on a board.

Let me know if you have experience with these.

They are simple bulbs soldered to the board. You will have to de-solder the current bulbs and re-solder new ones in.

My assumption is they are not LED's. If they were, people wouldn't be replacing them. At least not often

crumbut. they are litle micro bulbs. they are not leds and i cant find them anywhere cuz i have a few burnt out too and i took mine a apart and got the bulbs out and no one carried them that small so i have no idea where to get them

I haven't seen the bulbs yet. are they soldered onto a small PCB? If so i wonder if theres room to solder a surface mount LED with a resistor tee-peed with it.

Anyone have pictures of these things?

to give you an idea of what im thinking.

thats a picture of a 1206 SMD LED. they measure around 2mm x 1.5mm, a resistor would be approx the same size, and you solder them together like /\ and then the 2 ends go to the board. altho with an LED. if there is room it would be better to do 2 led's and one resistor, or 2 resistors and 1 LED. such as /-\ or |-| . if there isn't room for 1206's, 0805's might fit. I'd have to experiment to see which produces the brightnest output for the location\lense setup. I'd assume red would output very good through the red lenses.
