05 Grand Prix - What should I check before buy?

Hey guys, I don't know much about the 04+ Grand Prixs and my cousin is looking to buy one. Do they have any big/common problems? For example the gen 3 and the LIM.

What should we look at and check so he doesn't buy a car in bad shape?

Not as many problems on the 04+. Better Gen V supercharger, they fixed the lim gaskets in mid 05. But no need to worry about rocker rust as much, or strut tower rust. New problems with the 04+ is it won't start on it's own sometimes, it's usually a dirty throttle body or bad maf.

Well you don't have to deal with the common rust issues like the prev gen but check anyways.

Typical lim, elbows, and vc gasket have been changed if not factor that off the cost, onstar antenna tends to leak double check and get one of those windshield deflector pieces to keep water out of the passenger floorboard.
