05 Grand Prix GT warped cowl

Spent today looking over my new to me 05 GP GT. Went to check the cabin air filter and noticed the cowl has 2 spots where it does not even touch the windshield on the passenger side. Is this normal?

Having a little buyers remorse, but I upgraded 2 years and 60,000 less miles. The 05 is loaded with every option but remote start.

unfortunately it is normal and if you decide to get a new one, just be aware that the new one will do the same thing in time. You might want to try a sealant of some sort to keep the warped parts down.

Just fix it with 5 dollars worth of weather stripping.

Thin plastic and hot sun arent going to be friends forever.

yep, plan to order one in the morning, it worked great on the 03 GT I traded in. Will the 05 need any trimming on the original cowl like the 03 did?

I am just a little peeved I did not notice it till i went to put the push tabs back in and said WTH

04+ came with the water deflector stock

no stock water deflector on my 05, just the rubber weatherstrip under the cowl above the cabin filter

They added it midyear 05, my 05 has one, but I've seen plenty without.
