'04 Trans Swap - What parts should I replace on donor trans before installation?



You can typically count on 98-02 being interchangable, 03 is it's own monster, then 04-08 are interchangable. Per Dave at TEP the BL code on the tag is the best because pretty much every car likes that trans. I've had great success putting a multitude of different transmissions into cars. Say Bonneville into Impala or GP. If the car is NA, swap the diff and you are all set.
