04+ Interior Swap - Seat Belts

Dis you swap the rear seat at all? Interested in how to get the child seat loops that go in between the top and bottom half of the rear seat. Looked at one in the junkyard and it appears it is part of the metal bracket behind the seats in the rear.
The child seat clips are built into the 04+ rear seat, when you swap the rear in you will have them.

I was looking at an 05 in the junkyard last weekend and I couldn't get the lower cushion to release in order to look. It appeared that there was a metal piece spanning the back at the bottom of the upper cushion but couldn't tell if it was part of the cushion or something that bolted on the body separate from the cushion.

FYI, the 05 GTP rear seat I have has no provisions for child-seat restraint.

Hmm, looking at some other peoples pictures, these metal thingies must be what you guys are talking about; I thought they were ties downs for when the seat was
folded down.....

The rear seat is kinda weird, it's got two pull handles under the thickest parts of the foam, those sometimes work. Lol mine works on the passenger side, but the driver's side refuses to release 85% of the time.

The bottom cushion is literally just a cushion, and the back of the seat is permanently attached to that frame so it can fold down. Its 3 or 5 18mm bolts and a bunch of 10mm bolts to remove the rear seat frame, which is a bish if you accidentally forget a bolt and start pulling and bend it out of shape. Lol

And Bronco Boy is correct, there is no child seat restraints on most of the 04+ seats, it wasn't standard equipment.

Sorry to clutter your thread. It looks like they started installing them in 2003. Just found the info on them in a 2003 owner's manual but not for my 2002. They are mostly invisible, you have to poke your fingers between the cushions to feel them. Most cars that have them will have little buttons with a picture so you know where to poke your fingers in. Those white buttons on yours are what I am referring to.

Ah, that makes more sense. Look like something you would/could mount to the floor under the seat.

Sorry to clutter your thread.
As long as we keep uncovering little things like how to mount seat belts and baby seats, it's all good. :th_thumb-up:

If this thread prevents one person from having to remove the front seats 3 times to get the seatbelts mounted correctly, I've done my job. LOL
