04 GTP - short in climate control fan

Just noticed last week that my 04 GP GTP climate control fan (AC/heat) drops in speed if I hit a large bump. Today when I came out and started the car, it was non functional so I hit the speed bump at the gym and it came back on. Any idea where I might begin my search for this short? ALSO, my internal power sources (cig lighters) haven't worked for a couple of year. Where is the likely problem there.

There is a fuse for the cig lighter. Also controls the OBD port as well. Check for any obstructions in the power ports (change, rust) and change the fuse.

As far as the blower motor check the harness that connects to the motor itself. Should be on the pass. side under the dash. Have the blower on and wiggle the wires going to it. If it fires up then disconnect the harness, turn blower and car off and see if you can check the pins in the harness and the wiring to them. Likely one is loose. If not, then it could be the blower itself.
