04 GTP Rear camber out -2.5+

Hey guys...
2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Comp G. 175km

Replaced front monroe quick struts last year. They didnt have a quick strut for rear so just did shock.

Just got new tires put on, alignment is wayyy out. Been to 2 places. One was the tire shop and 2nd is
strictly alignment shop. -2.5 on camber both sides (one almost 3)

He says 2 camber bolts per side will bring it back to -1 where it should be.

Wondering if i should do the springs also or just leave them... He says they arn't broke or anything.

I have no problem replacing it if it needs done but making sure its getting fixed properly.

He said that almost looks like a lowering spring.

Thanks guys

you need camber bolts. buy them on line, install them yourself, then go back to the shop for the alignment, or your back tires will wear out on you.

have them slot the struts instead.

or just replace the springs with a set that isn't sagging like hell and get it realigned.

i just noticed that they are stacked 4 deep. if the back end passes the 3 bounce rule, put new springs in the back maybe. cheaper then new struts id think.

My 05 did the same. Suggest you put in some replacement springs, and if you still have camber issues, slot upper hole in the strut and use a camber bolt kit in the bottom.

fixing the springs will fix the camber but will also but the vehicle back to the correct ride height...if you care about that and how weight distribution effects braking, handling and front steering geometry.
