hi all.. ive been reading threw many posts and it seems there are alot of problems with the blower motors in these cars... however no one seems to have the same problem im having.. my girlfriend came home from work one after noon and shut her car off... the blower kept runing so i went to the fuse box and pulled fuses under the hood and on the drives side pannel... kept runing... so i unhooked the battery cable and called it a night.... i talked to a friend of mine and he said it might be the transitor.... so i replaced that and all was good.... the other morning it was colder out and she said she had the whipers on and the heater defroster on.. and when she got to work she parked and shut the car off and now the blower motor is back to runing all the time... does anyone know the fix for these things? i see that there is a tsb from gm GM Service Bulletin No.: 05-01-39-001A... any input would be great..

There is a capacitor kit that needs to be installed. In a tsb it was described that voltage spikes caused by the wiper motor cause a logic lock up in the transistor. This causes the blower to run constantly. Once it starts running constantly the transistor will need to be replaced AND the capacitor will need to be wired in to prevent the same failure from happening again

is there any write up or diy for this? it sounds simple enuf. i juat wanna make sure i know what wire im installing it in

raising the dead here, but I'm also having this issue and would like to know where I can get this kit or if theres a how-to thread already up on this.
