04 grand prix gt2 cuts off while driving?

I have had my car for awhile and it's been a great car, but for the last couple months it shuts off while driving down the road. It runs great, but just turns off with no warning. Sometimes it will start back up a few minutes after it dies and sometimes it has to sit overnight. No one can figure it out because it doesn't throw a code and by the time they get to it, it starts back up. This last time, 3 days ago, the shop finally messed with it while it was dead. It was getting gas and compression, but no fire. They were about to start trying different things to fix it and it started back up again. I had them replace the crank and cam sensors just as a stab in the dark. I am freaking out wondering if it is going to happen again though. Has anyone experienced this "ghost" problem? Thanks

If they replaced the crank sensor and it hasn't done it in a while, I'd be willing to say that might have nipped it in the butt.

Often this is a crank sensor. It's pretty common. Next most common thing for this issue on a 97-03 is the ignition switch. I haven't noticed if the 04+'s suffer from poor ignition switches.

Funny moment I had before when my keys were attached to a lanyard. Every once in a while I would turn the car off accidentally while driving. For a while I thought it was a mechanical issue because I wasn't paying attention to my keys.

This seems to have no effect upon your car, but I just thought I'd take time to interject some of my usual automotive stupidity.
