Okay so I had a 3 button DIC and I installed a 5 button and my mileage went from 95k ish to 152k ish. So I took out the 5 button and put the 3 button back in and it went back to the actual mileage. I thought the mileage was stored in the bcm and the DIC was just supposed to display whatever the actual bcm mileage was? So how do I fix this? I know there's a writeup where both are installed, but I'm not too great with wiring. I could try it if that's the only option, but shouldn't a dealer be able to reprogram the 5 button?
 


The mileage is stored in multiple places. Including the DIC. The DIC does not just display what the PCM/BCM tells it to for mileage. You will have to get it reprogrammed at the dealer. It is illegal to tamper with the mileage on a car, so you may have to go to 2 or more dealers to find one that will do it. And if some tell you that they can't do it, give them these directions and see if they will do it then.
