just got done installing my lucas' 42.5# injectors and was on the way home from my sis' place tuning the cruise speeds via AFC
. was riching up top at WOT and increased my timing a bit just then a white 4-door VW/Audi flew past me while i was doing a steady 75mph
the car slowed down up top and i increased y speed to catch up. i noticed as i was catching up to them they were trying to get away. so i floored it 100% as i was at least 3 car lengths behind them and gaining. looking down at my speedo i was around the 120mph mark
whic i slowed down and so did they b4 i did.
they switched lanes to the right and waited for me to pass them and when i did they pulled right behind my ass
. i made a quick adjustment to my AFC to richen the 10K range and threw my timing commander from +4* to +7.5*. then i looked in my rear view mirror and threw 3 fingers and counted down if they can see my hand then they knew i was gonna gun it. the lanes ahead were clear and i did the count down. once it was done i gassed it from 20% throttle to 75 then 100 for the 4-3-2 downshift(if thats correct) and away we went from a 75mph roll.
we were even for a couple of seconds then i noticed i was pulling away slowly then after ~100mph i was pulling hard

we did this sorta chase-race 2 more times with the same outcome. we took the same exit and we talked for a few seconds at the red light. it were to white guys and the passenger complimented my car for having pwned his buddy up-top. i asked what kind of motor and he said 1.8T. from my stand-point it had exhaust and a blow-off valve, which i heard as he we ahead of me first. the car looked clean and it was debadged with blacked rims. he made a u-turn and went back onto the highway which i assume i kinda knew where he was going in my neck of the woods.
my WB was pegged at "RCH" and i was sligtly getting KR but it is prolly due to running nasty rich. needs a decent tune once i have more time.
cliff-note: chase race with a debadged modded 1.8T from a 66-75mph roll a few times, all of which i pulled away after ~90-100mph while on a crappy tune.
i know modded 1.8Ts CAN be fast/quick. i lost to one when i ran a 13.2 at cecil to the guys 12.5@117mph
