• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

03 GP SE falling apart, need advice

Let me start by saying I'm am not a car guy by far, my skills are tinker with beginners stuff at best, and even that's a reach :D

I'm having a rough week, first my wipers won't squirt solvent out of them, I don't even hear the noise of the motor or whatever squirts the solvent out. The wipers go back and forth fine, but no liquid comes out. The weather is above freezing now, and I looked under the hood, the reservoir is filled up 3/4 and it appears the hose leading from it to the wipers is attached. Is there actually a motor or something that does the squirting? are those expensive to have replaced by a pro?

Also, the knob for my blower has come off. the center plastic piece on the inside cracked in half, so i krazy glued it back on, but when i attempted to re-attach it, lining the button up with the little notch on where the knob goes back into, if I attached it that way, the knob would be pointing straight down. I thought maybe it just rotates but I wasn't able to budge the part with the notch still attached to the car. I'm guessing I'll have to have someone fix that as well? is that expensive to do also?

replacement pumps are cheap and are located right on the fluid resivoir which you can get at by taking the front bumper off.

You don't even have to take off the front bumper just pull off the inner fender part way. For the knob go to a junkyard. Easy fixes

dude, if thats all the problems u have, ur doing ok. go to the jy. see how stuff goes on and off, get a haynes or chilton maual. remember if its broke u can't screw it up!!

I wish those were the only problems, but those were the only two I thought I might have a chance at repairing or be able to afford to fix. This car has got electrical problems, guess it was pretty common that year from all the reading I've done online and heard from the couple places I took it to for an estimate. I just need it to last for another year, sure glad I paid for all the "power" options that no longer work, except for the drivers side window haha.

really though just take each issue one at a time. do a search or it and u may find the repair solution. get some tools if u don't have any.
