'03 aftermarket radio question.

I think I know the answer, but just thought I'd ask to be sure. I know in the '04 and up models, if you put in an aftermarket radio, you loose certain display features on your HUD. Now, if you put in an aftermarket headunit in an '03, do you loose the hud features pertaining to Channel frequency, and CD track?
 


As far as I am concerned yes you do loose that, the only thing you can keep is the control function on the steering wheel with a adapter for that use.
 
bummer. Now if only there was a way that you could get it displayed. Hmmmm....
