Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

So, my wife has a 2003 Grand Prix SE with the 3100 V6 (which, in my opinion is better off as a boat anchor...).

3 different times now, one rocker arm has dethreaded itself from the cylinder head. It's been 3 different rocker arms, but each one has done the same exact thing. The first time it happened was about 2 years ago, but then we had it happen a 2nd time the first week of January, and now again this past Friday.

Has anyone come across this problem before? Or heard about it? Everyone I've talked to is baffled as to why it continues to do it, and my mechanic can't figure out why it continues.

Thanks!

My mechanic has only ever seen it happen once in the 25+ years he's been in the business, and it's happened 3 times to my wife's car alone >.< It's obnoxious, especially since there's 9 more that can go...

I'm thinking it's time to sell her car lol

Never seen that ever, and as far as the boat anchor thing, you wont find a more reliable GM engine than the 3.1...you just got the 1 bad one outa 10,000 or so...lol
