02 monte SS wil not start!! Please help!

2 Years ago the car ran but would die at a stop light intermittently. I checked
the code and it called out high voltage MAFS. So I replaced it and it didn't fix
a thing. I let the car sit for two years and periodically I would start it up
and let it run for a while. Today a friend of mine came over and we went to
start it and nothing I mean nothing. The battery is perfect i.e. new. Here is
what I noted as odd the radio doesn’t turn on, the door locks don’t work. In the
DIC there is battery, security, SES that alternate and illuminate.

So far.... I have conducted a CASE learn and in the procedure the security light on
the DIC is supposed to turn off after ten minutes or so of having the key in the
on/start position. It says ten minutes or so.... I did it over and over and
started over and still can’t get the security light to secure on the
DIC.

I'm completely lost and need help! I can’t afford to take it to the
dealer. It's a 2002 monte ss.

Start by removing both battery cables and cleaning the battery terminals and the cables. Then make sure they are tight after reinstall and see what you get.

How "new" is this battery? Was it new 2 years ago, or new as in bought it last week?

On the relearn. The DIC goes through a pattern of security, check engine, blah, blah, back to security, check eng... and so forth. When you stop seeing security in the rotation, that's the 10 minutes.

I checked the battery and the connections all is perfect, battery is brand new. The key is the original pass key. The case learn will not take the security light won't stop flashing. Any other suggestions.
