01 trip computer problems

Just got a 2001 grand prix only problem with it is that the trip computer lights and clock lights dont show unless you look at them while the sunlight is shining on them. Someone told me it was only a fuse problem but I don't think that's it. Got any ideas?
 


its really really old and burnt out?

The parking lights are on and the dimmer is turned all the way down?

you need a new dimmer switch?
 
Sounds to me like the BS I had to put up with in my 02GP.:th_shakinghead2: In GM's infinite wisdom they tried to take away all control over your lights. First adjust the dimmer switch for the dash lights up. If that doesn’t work, turn on your head lights. GM took away some style with the 04+, but they gave us back light control.:th_nanana:
