01 GTP Engine Rattle/Knock

I have a 01 GTP with 247,000 miles. I came off the express way and going about 30 when it started rattling/knocking. Got home no probs. it has no loss power. Checked oil. Was good. Took off both belts and checked all the pully's. All good. Started the engine with no belts and rattle was there. Revved the engine and knocking was loud. Even in idle it was kinda loud. My brother thinks its a bearing but i'm not all the familiar with the bottom of an engine. To me it sounds like it comming from the top end. Any ideas?

Try listening next to the oil pan. Is it high pitched or low pitched?

it sounds worse on top with the hood open then it does by the oil pan
