01 GT stals on start up, but runs great sometimes

my gf's 01 gt will sometimes run great and sometimes will start and then stall. no check engine lights and her uncle replaced the fuel pump becaused he thought that was the problem. what would cause it to work great sometimes and horrible others??

just tried to start it again, battery acted like it was low so i jumped it. started up on the third time. but the security light flashes on the dash. i can shut the car off and turn it on and it seems to be ok for the moment. idk what it is? battery had 12.2v in it when i checked it

Well, one thing for sure is that your video is bad :th_winking: What would help me is if you would turn the key on, let the lights clear. Then start the car. Also pan over the DIC so I can see the traction control light.
Because if your traction control light comes on at the same time, there is a 99% chance it is your crank position sensor (CPS) going bad.
I was also wondering, does it just stall at startup? Or is it stalling at speed also? More information always helps.

Sensors can go bad without completely failing--so you get an intermit problem--for a ck eng light to come on and set a code the light has to be on for about 20 secs or longer-the problem seems to be a fuel or fire problem-which any number of sensors can cause

mass air flow? mine did something similar to that...unplug the MAF and see if it stalls then ull know if its the MAF or not

fuel pressure regulater ??? pull the vacum line smell for gas or start the car and see if gas is leaking out with vacum line off had a problem simular to this before
