I think is complete BS when any NFL QB takes a knee in the last minute or so just to kill the clock and secure the win! Any QB that does it is a ***** and doesn't trust that his team can make plays and keep the ball to run the clock down.

Just like Goodsell made it a new rule this year that they'd fine you if you are found out to be faking an injury cause you cant keep up with the other teams no huddle offense. They should make it a fine for being a ***** and not playing the ball with time on the clock.

These QB's and the teams in general are paid Millions and Billions of dollars to play football not take a knee and stare at the time clock!
It may be an old person car, but at least ill be the first one in line for the early bird special at Denny's!

I'm sorry, but not taking a knee is absolutely stupid. It has nothing to do with trust. It would be like knowing that if you turn left down this street you'll wreck your car but if you turn right you'll be fine. The faking injury thing is one thing but screw that not taking a knee jazz.

I could see within reason. Say your team is up 21 points with 15 seconds on the clock, why not take a knee? But if you are only ahead by two points, why not? The pressure is high, more chance of screw ups, why risk it?

    It is a typical Catch-22

You're mad because an opposing team dropped to a knee to secure a victory because it was the smart thing to do. I have seen a interception and recovery and long sprint back up for a win in under 15s seconds. Turn around like that are what the game is about!

Had it been your team doing that, you would be proud that they were smart about it. Like said, its like knowing a right turn will be a wreck but going left is dumb??? no

But what's the point of running a play if your up 21 points??? so you can win by 28? Deal with it....

That's completely different. Physical damage to you or your car and the possibility you cant hold the ball and loss a game?

I don't care if its my team or not. I favor the Denver Broncos(Before Tebow gets brought up, I've been a Denver fan since Elway) and Tebow was a ***** when he kneed the ball yesterday in the game.

At the end of the day they get paid large salaries to PLAY football! Not take a knee and watch the clock.

no, you get paid to win. anyone that doesn't take a knee to secure an automatic win is a complete moron. the coach would ass rape you after the game if you decided to go for it for absolutely zero reason.

Even people that don't get paid, like PeeWee, Junior High, High School, College, etc are out there to WIN. Not taking a knee is absolutely stupid when the win is secured.

I would venture a guess that the OP has never played a game of football in his life.

You would probably never want to watch an Iowa Hawkeyes game. Conservative coaching, we're down by 21 points and we have the ball with 20 seconds to go til half time, we knee it. We've also been up 27 some points and take it down to the 2 yard line and take a knee to end the game. Sometimes it's out of respect, not running up the score, or not taking chances.

No they get paid to play football. They get a raise in salary to win. The Colts sure aren't winning anything right now but there getting paid aren't they.

Well it doesn't seem that way because you sure don't know SH!T about football.

You are going to be hard pressed to find more than a few people who agree with you.

i dont understand how it comes down to a matter of 'having balls' or not. balls and stupidity are clearly different things. you are talking about being stupid, not having balls.

Just like last night when Rogers was a ***** and took 3 knees. Why not try some plays you've never tried. Do something different, they were up by what 4 touchdowns. Like its gonna matter if you mess something up and they get a touchdown.

you dont throw a couple more plays because you dont want to slap them in the face at the end of the game for no reason. just end it like a civil person and be done with it.
