• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

  • went down to the (dis) repair shop to give them the bad news...no mo money from me. After I explained to the shop manager about the plastic LIM gasket, his response was " well it IS the updated version" my reply "It's plastic, not metal like you told me when I asked you about it weeks ago"
"The rings around the intake runners are metal"
    "Really?"
Heard back from ZZP...they are waiting on a shipment of valves to complete my order. Should have it to me Fri. So the waiting begins...LOL
Got a question Jason....when I reconnect the fuel rail...do I have to bleed the air out of it manually or will it take care of itself?
When you get a chance, send me your e-mail address so I can forward you the registration info. for the VCM.
Alrighty! Do you mind if I advertise your tune on my signature? Wanna give you props on it !! "HITMAN" CUSTOM TUNING- "TAKING CARE OF" THE COMPETITION!! yyeeaa!
PARTS LIST: LIM GASKET, ARP HEAD STUDS and FEL-PRO HEAD GASKETS(if I need to pull the heads ), YT ROCKERS & PUSHRODS, LS6 SPRINGS,ARP ROCKER BOLTS, MANLEY VALVE RETAINERS, VITON VALVE SEALS, JP TIMING CHAIN, DAMPENER, LS7 LIFTERS, ZZP GT1 CAM. Hey Jason! I was hoping to pay you a visit the week of November 5th to get this cam installed. I'll also need a tune to go with it. How much would you want for the install & tune?
Hey Jason...I'd like to make a donation for the meetup on the 27th...Lemme know what you need K?
Man, sorry to say but I am gonna have to back out of the Halloween party. Work just booked a breakfast party for the 28th.:th_shakinghead2: Was really lookin forward to meeting everyone! Hope to catch the next group meeting.
I finished the compression test. Cylinders 2,3, & 5 read 160 psi. Cylinder 4 read 140 psi. MUCH better than the last test. I used a new test kit this time rather than the old (and obviously faulty) kit at the hobby shop. I noticed that both of my valve cover gaskets need replaced so I'll do them when I check the 2-4-6 valve train. Could it still be the piston rings? I am seriously (and HAPPILY) doubting that at this point. Doubting a head gasket as well with the test results for the #2 cylinder. So I am guessing that it is a worn or damaged valve, valve spring, valve seal, or lifter. Does this sound about right? Anything I am overlooking? My brother said to check and make sure that the oil ports to the valve train aren't gummed up or blocked.
Hey Jason, if you have a minute, could you read my last post on my "Good Ole' P0304" Thread and tell me what you think?
